Voice of Asia: A Night of Connection, Culture, and Creative Energy


On Monday, 2nd June, we kicked off SXSW London week in style with our latest IOCMP “Voice of Asia” gathering, and what a night it was.

Hosted at the vibrant Be At One in Spitalfields, the evening brought together a buzzing crowd of marketers, advertisers, creatives, and culture-curious professionals. Whether attendees were seasoned industry players or new faces exploring the Asian influence on global creativity, the room was full of energy, open conversation, and genuine connection. This event was proudly supported by InfluenConnect and Comms8—two champions of cross-cultural marketing and collaboration. Their ongoing support helps make platforms like IOCMP possible.

A Warm Welcome from IOCMP

The night began with an informal and heartfelt welcome from Carol, who introduced the mission of IOCMP: to build a community of Chinese-speaking and Asia-focused professionals working in marketing, advertising, and beyond. Her words were simple but powerful - “Be brave, reach out, and support one another.”

It was a call to action that set the tone for the evening: bold, collaborative, and grounded in community.

Real Talk, Real People, Real Vibes

From brand managers and PR specialists to creative freelancers and entrepreneurs, the crowd reflected a growing wave of interest in Chinese and Asian markets and cultural industries.

People came curious, and left connected. The evening flowed with genuine conversations and shared stories, as attendees created meaningful memories together. It was less about business deals and more about building a sense of community and plenty of shared excitement for what’s next in Asia–Europe creativity. It was proof that when you bring the right people together, meaningful things happen.

A Massive Shoutout to Eastern Margins

To top off an already unforgettable evening, many of us headed over to the Eastern Margins showcase, where we were treated to an explosive night of sound, performance, and celebration of Asian underground music culture.

Thank you to Eastern Margins for generously offering free tickets to IOCMP guests—your support and spirit amplified our event in the best way possible. The performance was a sonic journey we won’t soon forget.
